Fourteen years ago, I stepped away from my critical care nursing career to stay home with my first daughter, Emma (now 18). Nursing was something I loved deeply, but as a new mom, I found myself longing for a creative outlet. I bought a monogram machine… then another… and now I have three. What began as a small spark of creativity slowly grew into something more.
Late one night, I stumbled across Plaid Rabbit for sale — and something in me knew it was meant to be. For the past fourteen years, I’ve poured my heart into this little shop. Along the way, I added two more daughters to my family: Caroline (now 17) and Millie (now 5). Plaid Rabbit has truly grown up alongside my girls.
If anyone asks the secret to our success, I always say the same thing: we have the kindest, most dedicated, and talented employees in the industry. And we are blessed with the sweetest, most loyal customers. You make our work a joy, and you make Plaid Rabbit feel like family.
2025 brought challenges we never expected. When the fire happened, we faced heartbreak, uncertainty, and the overwhelming task of rebuilding. But even in that difficult moment, our community — you — showed up for us in ways we will never forget. Your encouragement, your messages, your patience, and your willingness to stand by us gave us strength when we needed it most.
Today, as we stand in our new store, we are reminded that even the toughest moments can hold a silver lining. What was once a loss has become a fresh start — a brighter, more beautiful space that we are so proud to share with you. Every corner of this new beginning reflects your support, your loyalty, and the heart of this community.
